
CFH is committed to the continual improvement of its Environmental Management System (EMS), which includes risk identification, aspects and impacts assessment, safe working conditions, waste minimisation, pollution prevention, compliance with relevant global, local environmental and Health & Safety legislation regulations.
To support this commitment, the principles of BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard, are applied to all activities, services, and products. CFH intend to maintain registration to ISO 14001:2004 to assist in recognising and meeting our environmental duty of care.
CFH will actively promote and encourage Customer registration to the Toptree Initiative, a scheme managed by the Woodland Trust that mitigates the use of resources expended in the course of CFH business operations by the planting and management of indigenous trees in the UK. CFH believes that the use of wood free paper from sustainable, carefully managed sources provides a base product suitable for the most efficient form of conversion to customer needs.
CFH actively promote use of FSC and PEFC products which are subject to Chain of Custody (CoC) controls. Non FSC PEFC paper based products are always sourced from approved sustainable forest suppliers that meet appropriate environmental assessment criteria.
We will care for the environment through a commitment of good environmental practice and careful use of resources. Continual improvement will be achieved by implementing the Company’s EMS and related standards, which includes establishing objectives and targets.
As a minimum, our standards will meet relevant legal, industry and other sector specific requirements in addition we will focus on reducing energy, being a Significant Aspect of CFH business.
The Company is committed to effective communication and consultation on environmental, health & safety matters with all interested parties. We will report internally and publicly (if requested) on our EMS performance.We will provide appropriate environmental training to employees to enable them to meet the required standards of performance.
The Managing Director, Directors and line Managers are responsible for implementing this policy and giving EMS equal priority with all other business activities. Implementation will be through line management who will involve employees in the identification and achievement of the Company’s objectives.
Whilst we are each responsible for the environment, we will achieve better results when we work as a team. Through active participation and teamwork we can protect the environment and promote the welfare of our staff and the community.
