CFH employees to take part in Julian House charity walk

By Emma Bicknell, Campaign Manager

This year a team of CFH employees are taking part in the Julian House Circuit of Bath Walk on Sunday 24th September 2023.

Julian House is a local charity to CFH’s head office in Radstock and is one of which several employees have supported or volunteered at in previous years.

WHO ARE JULIAN HOUSE?

Since 1993 Julian House has been supporting vulnerable and at-risk individuals in the South West of England. These include adults and young people experiencing homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties and people who need support after leaving prison.

With over 40 projects, accommodation sites and social enterprises, the charity aims to build a better society where socially excluded individuals are supported and empowered to create independent lives.

Each year they support over 1,800 vulnerable individuals.

You can find out more about Julian House on their website.

THE CIRCUIT OF BATH WALK

With a 20-mile-long route and a series of checkpoints along the way, the walk provides those taking part with some impressive scenery of Bath and the surrounding areas. The route is fully waymarked, but teams are challenged with making the way through the course, with a starting point of their choice.

The full walk will take approximately 9 hours and 25 minutes (depending on how fast the walkers are of course!).

The event has been taking place for over 22 years and has brought together thousands of individuals wanting to make a difference.

If you would like to learn more about The Circuit of Bath Walk you can visit their website.

CFH have kindly donated to their fundraising, with the team hoping to hit £500 collectively.

We would like to wish those taking part the best of luck on the day – we look forward to seeing some pictures!
