Happy Retirement Rob and Paul

March 2026 saw us say farewell to two familiar faces across CFH, as Paul Perrett and Rob Doughty retired after an incredible combined 90 years with the business.

Both Paul and Rob started their journeys with Continu-forms in the summer of 1980, beginning at the original Coombend factory in Radstock. Over the years, they’ve seen just about every change the business has gone through - from site moves and new technology to the way we work today - and have played a key part in that journey throughout.

After completing their apprenticeships in collating, both built long and highly skilled careers. Paul went on to work across a number of sites, including Broadway House, Oakhill and Farrington Fields, specialising in cheque numbering before moving onto a wide range of machinery such as collators, Tamarack systems and the envelope over-printer.

Rob played a big role in the company’s move into integrated products, even travelling to the United States to help bring new technology into the business. He was instrumental in setting up and running the Tamarack machine at the Radstock Road site, later becoming Chargehand and supporting a wide range of equipment including collators, folders and hologram machinery.

Between them, Paul and Rob have worked across multiple sites, machines and teams, building up decades of knowledge and experience. Through all the changes along the way, their commitment and reliability never wavered - something that’s been valued by everyone who’s worked with them.

To mark the occasion in late March, colleagues came together for a well-earned send-off, with a great spread of food, a few speeches, and gifts presented by Production Director Steve Cray and Director Adam Harwood in recognition of their contributions.

We would like to thank them both for everything over the years and wish them a long, happy and well-earned retirement!
