As a trusted healthcare communication provider, we’ve been on quite the journey, supporting health professionals in driving patient engagement. From printed letters, to digital letters and screening projects, we endeavour to offer the very best service within this critical sector. Much more than a provider – we like to think of ourselves as a partner, who have continued to evolve along with industry requirements. This ensures that the communications we oversee for health industry clients are managed, created and sent at the right time, in the best possible format.
For over 15 years we have worked closely with health sector clients in the delivery of patient communications. This started way back in 2008, with the launch of our leading hybrid mail software, Docmail. Ever since, we have grown from strength to strength, partnering with health organisations across the UK.
From the very first medical practice onboarding in 2008 for flu communication support, to today, a point at which over 75% of medical practices utilise Docmail, we have developed to become a market leader in printed communications. Today we are pleased to confirm that over 3,000 practices use Docmail to send bulk and individual communications, with this number growing daily.
Since this initial launch, our product position has evolved to support ICBs, CCGs, Trusts, Primary Care organisations and medical research. Our products can be found in use for over 5,000 health care providers - including dentistry and optical organisations.
We’ve worked with these organisations to develop our Managed communications offering to support those larger and more bespoke requirements. As well as this, we have continued to work on digital delivery channels, so they are adaptable for all communication needs.
We estimate that we have sent over 160 million letters on behalf of NHS organisations since we started, with this number set to increase as we continue to support our clients.

With the NHS Long Term Plan tackling big questions over health inequalities and increasing pressures from a growing population, we actively work with our clients across the UK to deliver communications that alleviate some of these challenges.
From supporting ICBs, medical practices, NHS Trusts and Primary Care providers to medical research and third-party integrations, driving engagement with patients is critical for delivering positive outcomes. The NHS Long Term Plan focuses on the assurance of these communications being accessible and inclusive, digital enabling and streamlined to offer the very best service for both the NHS and the patients who they engage with.
Working towards this goal, CFH continuously adapts and evolves, maintaining the level of service and professionalism required to support clients in achieving this. The goals and objectives of the NHS are fundamental to how we develop our offering so that we can continue to support our clients on every level.
With exciting projects and partnerships in the pipeline, CFH continues to make positive strides in this key market. Continuously evolving we will continue to optimise to be able to offer the very products and solutions to this key industry and position ourselves as an approved NHS communications provider.
We hope to see our products take further market coverage including those areas with medical practices, ICBs and medical research. As well as develop our key relationships in this industry whilst developing some that are new.
We understand as the market requirements continue to evolve as NHS organisations work towards the NHS Long Term Plan, and that we are required to adapt and grow too – of which we are excited and ready to write the next chapter of our journey.
