2023 has seen quite the change for CFH. With milestones hit, achievements met and exciting developments taking place across all 3 sites. The last 12 months have been another positive chapter for us to look back on.
From the launch of the new award-winning CFH brand including a new website and front of building, to the installation of new machines including an Epic Inserting Solution and Cannon varioPRINT iX- Series printers, factory moves and charity involvement this year has been a testament to the hard work and commitment that our dedicated employees undertake.
In the last 12 months we have secured 450 new business opportunities, onboarded over 1,200 accounts on our hybrid mail platform Docmail, produced 71 million documents, worked with over 2,500 organisations, grown in new and existing markets, expanded our workforce, developed Help Centres, raised over £1,500 for charity, generated 239,889 kilowatt hours of electricity with our solar panels and successfully passed all audits – helping us hold onto our impressive certifications and accreditations.
The most significant change of 2023 was no doubt the CFH rebrand. With a new logo, website, branded materials, front of building, signage and much more, the last 12 months have seen the successful rollout of the new look across all three sites.
The new brand represents the company we have evolved to be throughout our 46-year history—ambitious, market leaders who offer innovative solutions that drive results for every customer.
The new look is set to carry us forward, helping us achieve more goals, and stand out from our competitors as a modern, friendly and trustworthy company whilst allowing us to remain as leaders in our field.
From the front of the building to in-house our factory and office spaces have seen quite the transformation over the past 12 months.
Back in October, the CFH building improvements started to take place, with new signage and cladding added to the front of the Radstock site and new logos being added to both Livingston and Slough. This accompanied the new internal factory signage, and furniture and the completion of our updated living wall that features a range of luscious plants.
But we didn’t stop there, we continuously invested in the machinery at all sites, so that we can offer our clients the very best final output. From new shredding equipment, two new Canon varioPRINT iX- Series printers, an MBO T535P and a new Epic Inserting Solution, our machinery portfolio has changed and grown rapidly this year with further factory investment anticipated for the horizon…watch this space.
Along with new factory equipment, we were pleased to launch two new products this year.
CFH Transform our elite package of multichannel communication solutions built around your desired goals through our 5Rs approach.
CFH Inbound is our unique scanning centre, which provides scanning and data capture services that drive savings, drive efficiencies, and improve outcomes for you.
These solutions fit within our product portfolio, allowing us to offer our clients with leading services to help them communicate effectively, across every channel, every time.
In addition, our existing solutions experienced some important updates, improvements and changes to allow them to remain market-leading. Every single improvement made in 2023 to our products, had our clients at the heart of it.
We are planning further developments and growth in 2024 for our product portfolio, with the planned launch of new products and solutions, as well as further improvements to our current offering. We strive to be the best of the best, and our product portfolio represents just that.
2023 also saw us celebrate some incredible staff milestones as the company entered its 46th year. We’ve had:
40 years – 3 awards | 35 years – 5 awards | 30 years – 5 awards | 25 years – 8 awards | 20 years – 11 awards | 15 years – 3 awards | 10 years – 6 awards | 5 years – 14 awards
A real testament to the CFH family environment we are proud to offer.
In addition to these milestones, we welcomed new talented starters across all three sites and said goodbye to some of our long-standing staff. As well as this we experienced some exciting role developments, promotions and continual professional developments occur, as we continue to invest in our staff and their careers at CFH.
This year we successfully completed every audit conducted at all three sites, including BSI and NQA audits for ISO Management Systems ISO 9001, 14001 and 270001.
In addition, we were re-awarded industry-specific accreditations including Data Security and Protection Toolkit – Standards Exceed and were announced as an approved supplier on the Crown Commercial Service as a Lot 6 – Hybrid Mail, Digital and Transformation Communications provider.
This is a real testament to the processes we have in place, to ensure that everything we do is at the very best standard.
The company’s use of resources and resulting impact is a very important consideration of our business which we monitor and control as part of an Environmental Management System (EMS) and 2023 was no different.
The EMS activities involve the setting of improvement targets that influence business decisions on investment in equipment, plant and internal system developments.
If we compare the first three quarters of 2023 to 2022 we see the following positive steps within our EMS activities:
As a result of these and other continuing improvements, we have seen our carbon footprint reduce by 22% from 2022 to 2023.
We expect further improvements in 2024 following recent investment in cut sheet printers of higher efficiency and lower energy consumption and following the release of system developments designed to consolidate jobs at the printing stage which will reduce wasted energy at start-up.
This continued hard work to ensure our processes and procedures are environmentally driven, remains at the heart of everything we do so that we can continue to make a positive impact on the environment that surrounds us for years to come.
As we step into the new year, we look forward to the prospects and opportunities it brings as well as some more long service awards. From new projects coming to fruition and further factory investment, the next 12 months is looking as promising as the last.
With a confirmed general election for 2024 we understand that we will need to support some our customers through some challenging times, but together we can deliver the communications needed for everything to fall into place. If you have any questions about the general election please do get in touch, we’d be happy to help.
We look forward to continuing to offer our clients the very best products and services, helping them achieve their goals and communicate effectively. As well as continuing the successful growth of the CFH brand and our market offering.
2024 will no doubt be another exciting chapter in our impressive story so far.
