When a teacher from Dalziel High School mentioned that the school was looking for some help with resources for their art projects, we were of course happy to help!
For many years now, we have been supplying the school with waste cardboard dividers to be used across their art department. We have since received this wonderful update:
“On behalf of everyone at Dalziel High School, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for CFH Docmail's generous donation of card to our Art and Design Department and the work that you do to support this process.
Your support has made a significant difference to the opportunities we are able to provide for our young people. Prior to receiving your donations, ongoing budget restrictions and rising cost of materials meant that we were having to seriously consider reducing and potentially removing aspects of 3D construction from our National 5 and Higher Art and Design curriculum.
Without your generous donations we would simply be unable to fund 3D construction activities to the extent that we currently can. Your contribution has enabled us to continue delivering a rich and varied curriculum, ensuring that our pupils have access to high quality learning experiences that develop creativity, problem solving skills and practical construction techniques.
The support of CFH Docmail allows us to continue offering greater choice within both the Broad General Education and National Qualifications curriculum. This is particularly valuable for young people whose strengths lie in 3D design and construction, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents and achieve high standards in National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Art and Design. “
We are pleased to share some of the brilliant work created using this cardboard. Isn’t it amazing what you can do with someone else’s trash!
